My name is Topsy, and I am relatively new to the speedrunning community.
Although my account was just made yesterday, I have been actively browsing this site for over a year. I began learning Super Mario 64 16 star runs back in December of 2015 when a friend of mine shared a video of someone doing it. It sparked my interest and brought me to realize the incredible precision needed to speedrun a game.
Since then, I have grown as a speedrunner and feel it necessary to make an appearance on the site! Currently, I run SM64 16 star (I would love to expand this and learn 120 star eventually), Super Metroid any% (also interested in 100%), and Shaq Fu. Over the course of the next week, I will work on getting times submitted to the site!
As for other games I would like to learn, I will mostly be gearing towards games that are off the beaten path. SM64 and SM are as mainstream as it gets, which is why I would like to expand my horizon and find strange games to run!
Twitch is where I broadcast all of my video game endeavors, I'm highly active on there and can be easily reached!

Each game has its own forums which would be a good starting place if you want to ask the community about adding a new category. Also, contacting the mods personally through the social media links on their profile and asking them directly is another avenue you could take if it doesn't seem like the forums are very active. Check around also for a Discord depending on the popularity of the game.
