Reason for emulation ban?

I am looking forward to speedrunning this game. While I am in the process of tracking down a physical GameCube copy, I had been hoping to do some runs on Dolphin until I can get my hands on it, but noticed that emulation is banned for this game. I can run the game at full speed 99% of the time, with rare dips into (at worst) 94% speed for very brief instances - and from walkthroughs I've seen on YouTube, my load times are about on par with what you'd see on a GameCube or Wii.

I'm just curious as to the decision to ban emulation for this particular game. If anything, I'm at a disadvantage. If you decide not to lift it, I'll consider my Dolphin attempts practice runs until I can find a real copy.

I actually just got a GameCube copy of D2R yesterday, so this doesn't really matter that much, but I do think we should at least consider the possibility of allowing emulated runs for other people.
