Hi! I'm relatively new to speedrunning having watched it on youtube recently, and want to try it out starting with my high school favourite. Think I could have a good shot at hitting the leaderboards but was wondering how to set up the timer so it auto-starts when you begin the game? Also, what is some good video software to record the runs? Thanks!
you can always use OBS as recoring software. i havnt found a way to start the splits when the game starts, but you can set a hotkey to splits( so that if you press u in my case the timer starts.) I use WSplit for my runs. I hope ive helped you!
Hotkey splitting's always a good choice, I have it set to start the timer when I press enter. I can't remember exactly how to set it up right now but I imagine google will tell you if you're using a popular program like LiveSplit or WSplit).
