New RPG Category Questions

I am looking at the possibility of submitting the 2002 RPG Geneforge as a new game, but I am unsure how to handle categories and some of the rules. The Any% run is less than 15 minutes, but there is potential for long categories that leave more room for decisions about rules. Any suggestions of similar games already on here that could serve as reference would be welcome.

First, Geneforge has many different endings, and there is no requirement that you interact with the story elements for any of them to complete the game. Would it make sense to break things up by ending then, or perhaps to have a “do at least some ending that isn’t just avoid everything” category? How would one define that? The easiest category to define would probably be a “clear all areas” category, but given the difficulty of two areas in particular that would be a much longer run than the usual story ending runs (closer to a 100% run).

Another minor thing is that the game has built-in cheat codes. Do people allow those kinds of things in speedruns? Do they category separate them or just ban them entirely? Because some of them could dramatically affect certain elements of the speedrun (particularly the “exit area” command).

Again, any existing examples for reference or general precedent welcome, as well as just general advice for navigating these kinds of questions in future.

Oh, and that’s not to mention the different difficulty settings (or the different classes, though I doubt that itself would be worth splitting up)
