Just downloaded the correct version of HL with the intent to start speedrunning it, but I can't change any settings through the menu. I can't click the menu buttons. The game works, but I'd like access to the menu.

I've had this issue before with cs 1.6. When I launch the regular Half-Life from steam it doesn't have this issue, though.

I know this isn't an issue in windowed mode. Anyone know how to launch in a window? Launch options aren't available afaik.

Also, is playing in widescreen a possibility?

Rightclick the bat file and edit it after "+map c1a0 add -windowed

See if it works.
