A year late to the party, but...
Can we also get a 100% GC category? Or a no bonuses version? Or both?
I do not think we will be adding any new categories for now. Barely anyone does them and the only runner that actually did them seriously is Lako a while a go. I would like to avoid creating a bunch of categories if no one is going to run them.
Galactic conquest no bonuses seems like a waste of time to me, it barely changes anything to the galactic conquest runs since you generally just abuse jedis anyway.
If we get more serious runners for galactic conquest, I could add it in the future.
100% Galactic Conquest is a nice idea, i would not look forward to running it though because save/loading is tedious af. and it would be like close to 3 hour run i think
The thing with no bonuses is that it means there are no jedi to abuse. It changes the run completely.
Ok so when you meant "No Bonuses" I thought you meant like in Rise of the Empire.
In the Any% No Bonuses for RotE, no bonuses means that you start a run with a freash file with no medals aquired.
So you are saying that you want to do a galactic conquest run where you are not allowed to buy any upgrade or units and playing the entire thing with stormtrooper only?
GC should be played as its meant to, you should be allowed to use bonus', upgrades and all that jazz simply because its there available to you. i just dont see the reason for making a category that would remove the ability to use some of the features that are available in the run? this also applies to the ai manipulation IMO. The fact that the rng can be manipulated like that should not mean that you cant do it, right?
Also, this doesn't mean that you cant do challenge runs just for fun though.
