I had my Tetris video accepted into two categories and my second Yoshi's Cookie video accepted as well and both showed zero views not only at the time they were accepted but well afterwards. I took a screenshot of both instances. I'm curious as to why that is the case. My videos were legitimate and worthy of being accepted but it seems like a disservice to not even bother to at least pretend to watch the video and at least increase the view count while you make a pot of coffee or something. 

I also tested with other individuals to make sure there wasn't a view count delay and there isn't and my research shows that a view count delay typically doesn't happen until around 299 views. 

I'd like for someone to point out an obvious fact that would make everything I'm saying wrong. Is that something I can hope for?

I'm carrying on the discussion on my Twitter just because it's easier to share photos. I'm seeing a close enough gap in Yoshi's Cookie that I can write it off as a time zone variance but there is a big gap in my first Tetris verification and first video view and YouTube analytics have my first view recorded down to the minute. I even think that first view might have been me on someone else's phone. Regardless of the outcome it's a very interesting puzzle box as to what's going on here even if it's entirely on YouTube's end and nothing to do with what's happening here. I'm not making any "charges" at this time but the numbers are too interesting for me to not check it out and investigate. Something is weird.

I had a response to this, but it got lost in the recent site reroll. Tl;Dr is that we can't really control how other games are being moderated on the site.

Oh and embedded videos do not count for views on YouTube.

I have to ask the hard question - Why aren't runs being verified?
