Introductions, Inquiries & Story Time

Hello everyone.

I have a few inquiries: The game I wish to speedrun does not have a leaderboard or any submitted runs it seems.

  1. How do I get a leaderboard added once I am able to run the game effectively?

  2. There is only one person who I have seen post a video of speedrunning this specific game, they begin the timer at character creation instead of actual gameplay. They however, did not submit said video to any website and instead just host it on YouTube/Twitch. Am I able to choose when the timer starts if I choose real time over game time?

  3. If I am the first person to submit a run of said game to the website, am I able to choose how the game is timed (IE: game time or real time)?

For those not interested in why I am speedrunning, please feel free to ignore this section:

I have been watching speedruns now for about 3 years or so. It originally began with watching Dark Soul speedruns hosted by Lobosjr.

I have decided to begin speedrunning in hopes of being able to run said game at AGDQ 2016 for a friend of mine who has been battling Leukemia since he was 16. He's fallen on difficult times emotionally and I really want to surprise him with this and show that myself and a few of our friends support him by dedicating the run at ADGQ to him, if I am able to go.

You may have also noticed I avoided naming which game I plan to speedrun specifically. This is because I want it to remain a surprise until I can complete dominate this game.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post and answer any questions I may have asked. :) Hope to get to know the community better as time comes.

  1. under games there should be a "request a game" button

  2. get in contact with the video guy and make some rules together on what is the most logical cause of load times etc.

  3. why not both?
