hello speedrunners, im from Sweden and i have thought about doing speedruns, however im not familiar with the tools i have to use, help would be very much appreciated!

http://livesplit.github.io/ - LiveSplit seems to be the most popular timer https://obsproject.com/ - OBS is a great free option for streaming runs, which can cover video proof, and streaming is just fun in general http://www.speedrunslive.com/ - SRL is still the go-to place for races, has integration with LiveSplit I think. Great place for someone starting out

Depending on the games you intend to run, listed above could be all you need. For consoles you'll need hardware and the options are fairly vast.

would using shadowplay and livesplit work together?

I have zero experience with it, not sure what it is. If it's a streaming software so long as you can capture windows it should be fine.
