I don't know how I did it but you can remotely buy asset and you also get a zip to it. Saved replay where I stand in purchase icon then spam F1 F3 TAB. It could be frame perfect.

Mamamia, that is his point, yes. He buys it with F3 (if you look closely, he actually clears the F1 replay while spamming on the bridge).

I wonder how consistent it proves to be, although then again, its possibilities are probably limited to buying Boatyard as far as any% goes. Very interesting regardless. Once again something "impossible" was proven possible.

Loading screen clears replay cache, that's why I drove though bridge.

Well if you can get this consistantly then you could make a replay of walking through PW, buy boatyard, and after you finished port to PW again + buy it.. if this route even makes sense..

but still, has potential to save some time! :)

I figure out remote asset buy. You have to stand on marker when you make replay. To remote buy you have to press TAB and quickly F3.

idea for phonecall skip involving replays Hi guys. I'm watching Adams stream and enjoy his VC speedruns. I've just thought of this and figure it might be interesting. I'm trying for Senpai to notice me, but he doesn't pay attention so it'd be cool if someone else tried this. Here's what you do. Make a replay of a short phonecall (Get to the phone-ones for example). Pick up the phone with a long-ass call. Play the replay of the short phone call. Variations: Just make a replay of the end of a phonecall, the Leo one would work for that, idea behind that would be that ending the phone call in a replay might also end it in the 'real' game. (Screw you, man! would also be a nice name for a split if this works.)

One problem with this idea is that audio is muted during replays.

the audio doesn't matter I think, maybe the Replay still makes the Game think that the call is done... but needs to be tested, maybe I'll try :)

I don't have the game or I would've tested it myself, but it'd be nice if you did.

/edit One of the mods in Adams chat said he tried it, didn't work. Guess it's two different instances and not an end trigger, then.

Found two ways to warp/complete mission objective using replays:

  1. Guardian Angels: make a replay where the Colonel's Ruger will appear at the multi-store car park. After starting mission at the marina bay, watch replay and you appear at the car park and the Lance cutscene starts. Possible to save ~10 sec (including setting up the replay, which can be made on the way back after Treacherous Swine).

  2. Phnom Penh '86: make replay on the roof where the briefcase will appear. After all the gang members on the roof have been killed and you are on foot, you can activate the replay and mission ending cutscene is triggered immediately. Probably won't save time, because you have to go to the roof anyways before the mission to record the replay. On the plus side you won't take any damage.

Other thoughts: I think this idea can be used for other missions that include picking up briefcases etc. One idea is Juju Scramble, where you can set up replay for pickiing up one of the cases. Haven't tested this tho.

I actually thought about doing that for GA and PP as well, but figured neither of them would actually save any time. Now that I think about it, you could be right about Guardian Angels though, despite the drive being only 25 seconds. I'll try it out again.

It's a shame you can't warp to the brief case right after it spawns, but only after you're on foot. Would've been a cool time saver.

Fil timed the GA warp, it saves 5 to 6 seconds.

5-6s is what I got as well. Rampage S&D should save more than that, but then again it's riskier. Tough call.

Another idea I've had is rampage starting Guardian Angels, taking the Sonny call during it and doing 'adamzip' after The Chase. Wouldn't work though, because you couldn't pick up the Kruger during a rampage.

Yes, taking a call during S&D... the mission marker is on stairs which makes it difficult to judge the rampage timing (have killed a run by rampaging too early), and the fact you have to walk with a chainsaw from the stairs to the boat marker... I don't think that saves quite as much time as one would think.

"New" idea: Get SMG rampage replay during The Chase, start either The Fastest Boat or S&D with it, and you can take the Cortez call during S&D. This way you lose less time because you can sprint to the boat, and it doesn't stop you from doing the GA warp.

I also tested starting Phnom Penh with the SMG rampage, and it worked out nicely so that the Sonny call started right after I got off the heli, and ended right before the final cutscene ended. Problem is, if you are too slow killing any of the guys during the auto-scroller part, you might be pretty much screwed.

Also fun fact: After rampaging Phnom Penh and Supply & Demand you end up with infinite ammo for all of Tec-9, Kruger and M60.

How about getting the MP5 rampage replay while taking the Diaz call and not doing the gate zip? Unless I'm missing a very obvious rampage that doesn't cost time to get during the Chase? EDIT: Timed making the replay on the way to mansion, it's about 13 seconds slower, I assume that's more than you save with Cortez call during a mission.

Think this rampage would be worth saving a replay with during The Chase? It's a drive-by one with a SMG as well I think. Could save more time over the one nearby the exit of Starfish since you have to to do any walking.
