Hey everyone!
I have been an active high score gamer for a few years now, having been part of sites like TG and HighScore. As much as I do still pursue high scores, I'm trying to rekindle some of the fire I used to have when I started gaming competitively. After walking away from a couple sites like those I just mentioned, I'm looking to go about the competitive gaming scene at a different angle.
I still compete in online tournaments hosted by members at TG and Aussie Arcade, which are a real blast, and I encourage people to check out some of that. The MGL tournaments (MAME Gaming League) hosted by Paul Hornitzky of the greater Australia/New Zealand area are a terrific place to start if you're working to get into high score tournaments.
I'm not a specialist, so you'll find me speed running quite a breadth of game types and platforms. I hope you'll enjoy what I bring to the table.
Also I'm no expert but have spent a lot of time using MAME/WolfMAME, recording INPs as I go, and troubleshooting various user issues. Any GENERAL questions about MAME I'd be happy to take a shot at.
Happy to be here.
Good gaming!
Welcome! I think you'll fit right in here. I also think your expertise MAME will come in handy for someone at some point. I too just sort of play games all the spectrum, particularly old stuff, so hopefully we cross paths on some leaderboard.
Hopefully, those skills help you keep up. ;) happy to have you here have fun!
