Would it be possible to add the following category?
Any% 870 Points
I want to start submitting runs for a much more difficult category than Any% Master (1300 Points is perfect but unforgiving.) Hopefully a pure stealth category like this would revive the community as well.
It's dead silent on the Thief front. I thought I had vitalized it when I solved the riddle with the so-called "Erin glitch".
Anyway. I might take this one on some day. Just to clarify, an 870 pts run involves all mods active (on Master difficulty) except for "Iron Man" and "Chapter Saves Only". This means you can use quicksave, die/reload during the run, if you choke.
Thank you for creating the category. I haven't did a run in a couple of months but now am tempted to give the 870 point run a try.
It wasn't me who added it. :) It was already there since some time. Anyway, please do a run. Let's inject some energy and life into this totally underrated game!
I'm on kind of a hiatus right now with my runs (I have allergy problems so I'm quite tired and my eyes hurt), but I am definitely planning to attempt all categories for PB's/WR.
I am also thinking about making guides for the game, like what routes are the best and explaining all tricks, including speed tricks, the storage glitch and other useful tips. I bet I will learn new stuff myself though when I start to speedrun the later chapters. Speedrunning is all about research and preparation. And also trial and error and actually comparing routes and tactics and see which is the quickest in a short and long perspective (if needed). For one thing, record all your attempts and compare them side by side. Then you will learn the most and quickest and figure new things out.
