I decided to watch some runs while having my coffee this morning. Pulled this one up and noticed something strange. At 29:32, i had to watch the video slowed down to .25 to see what happens....
you see him go into his formation, Change R to a priest, his chemist Eliza to a wizard, then Algus to a chemist. No problem here. Now here is the issue, he goes into Squire on R and learns Accumulate and Yell, then to Wizard... Wizard has 108 JP, He learns ICE (50) this takes him to 0 JP for some reason, and he then learns Bolt 3 (480), Ice again, Then Flare(900). Death (600), Frog (500) Magic AttackUP (400), and then does this again for his other Wizard. Are cheats like this accepted for speedruns? I remember someone mentioning this cheat to me when we were kids and it can be found all over the internet, it just seems cheap for an official speedrun is all i am saying i guess.
It depends on the individual skills and styles too. This game is easy for me after the first three play throughs without the internet at the time. I don't rely on cheating or glitches to do well. This game needed a difficulty setting badly. I want to do a pure run of any %, no math, glitchess, and no resets. That would be harder imo over no deaths.
