I'm a pretty new runner, not only to this game, but to speedrunning in general. I'm interested in finding glitchless exploits and I have two here that are definitely glitchless, but I'm unsure if they count as "out of bounds." Technically I'm not clipping through any boundaries but I'm definitely going to places the game does not expect you to go. Would either of these exploits be allowed in a glitchless category?
First skip: An easy boat skip I'm sure anyone who's run a glitched category is at least aware of.
Second skip: How to get the Quarter Key in the Alchemy Lab early without using any glitches. Even if it doesn't count as OoB I'm not sure it saves time.
While I would love to employ either of these skips, considering the hassle the alchemy quarter key and the boat are, the rules pretty clearly state "- Out-of-bounds in not allowed.".
It might merit discussion to look at a distinction between pure glitchless and "glitchless lite" that includes these "sort of glitches but not really" in them, but I don't make the rules. All I know is that I'd much prefer a run that includes things like these instead of the current nightmare the glitchless run stands as.
