New Level Catagories

I think it would be a good idea to have sepret categories for all the different levels within the different games. I also think it would be fun to have different categories for beating certain levels or games without power-ups or without floating or both.

I honestly don't see the point of making categories that small. We've got perfectly fine IL categories and they work and are fun to do. To have categories that are literally shorter than a minute is pretty much pointless.

As for ability-less, if you want to run it, i'd say run it, have fun with it. I personally don't really see the appeal of it and probably won't do it for KSSU ever. Also I think it's not even possible to beat the game without using floating. That's just how the gam is designed.

While I understand your opinion I must disagree with you since as long as there are people willing to run it I don't understand why it shouldn't be a category.

About no Float: I know form experience that at least Spring Breeze and Dynablade are possible. I don't know about all the other games, I haven't tried it.

Okay, let me rephrase then. Sure things can be categories, but don't always need leaderboards. You can run Spring Breeze level 2 all you want, and that's okay. I don't mind that, i don't really care if you do. But I don't see that working as a leaderboard. And unless I get popular demand for it(note the word popular) I don't see it ever being a leaderboard.

A good example of this is Kirby & the Amazing Mirror Co-op. It doesn't have a leaderboard, and literally all the runners of that category don't care for it. It's a fun little meme and we keep track of WR on our own. You don't have to have leaderboards for everything.

Again, run it if you want. But unless it gains enough traction I won't make it a leaderboard.

Well I geus all I can do in that case is hope that this post/treath gets a lot of postive atention

If I may interject a bit, as I tried to humor this for the sake of seeing if it could be done: Short answer is that it can't.

Powerless/Abilityless is entirely impossible as at the last room of Chapter 3 in Revenge of Meta Knight, you're required to use Fire to light a cannon's fuse. The one beside it, which has a switch to ignite it without the need for an ability, is a fake and damages you. Unlike the Meta Knight fight in Kirby's Adventure or its remake, Nightmare in Dream Land, this ability isn't forced on you in any fashion beyond the puzzle giving a big glowing hint that you need to light a fuse. Also unlike the aforementioned fight, the ability is also able to be tossed as soon as it's used, compared to being stuck with it for the entire fight. Since it doesn't "make" you use it and calling a Helper would also be against the rules since you need an active ability for that, you'd be stuck and unable to progress further. The only exception for the Helper bit is maybe the end of RoMK where you're forced into riding Wheelie, but that'd only apply if you can't just jump off it and dismiss it as soon as you're given control of Kirby again.

As for Floatless, you'd have to use Beam to get past the very first raised platform in Spring Breeze. I'll let that speak for itself as to why doing both together wouldn't be possible at all. Regardless, Kinnin11's right in that it'd need to have popular demand for it to have a leaderboard, but don't let that stop you from trying to run it for your own enjoyment.
