I'm absolutely new to the scenario, and I have some questions concerning the 3ds. 1 - is it ok to use cia or do I need the original cartridge? 2 - what is the most acceptable way to record?

cia is like having the game digitally iirc, I don't think there's anything modified with it or anything (depending on what you have as a cia file, like if you converted a gb or gba or anything that isnt a 3ds game into a cia) and if you use cia files I'm gonna guess you have cfw? if that is correct you can get kit-kat and wirelessly stream/record your gameplay if your router is good enough for it
wait you said 3ds and not new 3ds, 3ds can't use kit-kat, so either you'll need a capture card, or you can record using like a camera or something externally, and depending on the game you can do screenshots as well, but that largely depends on the game
yeah, normal 3ds XL, do you think it is possible to record with a stable Iphone? Like, is it acceptable?
yeah it is acceptable as long as the game is visible and such, it's fairly common for stuff to be recorded that way since capture cards for handhelds are not cheap, and if you wanna make double sure, ask one of the mods of whatever game you're gonna run
