Yesterday, an update occurred on GTA 5 Online. 3 new heists are now available. Will they be added as those of the 2015 heist update ?
yeah i'll get to adding them. however, i feel as those the new heists are gonna be very, pay to go faster since you can pay to skip the prep jobs or choose to do them in the freeroam lobbies. so i might need to make 2 category's. What do people think? do you want 2 category's, skip prep/prep? or just keep it skip prep or non skip prep
If you can have the vehicles and still do the prep then have two category's but if not then just the heist them self and skip over the prep. however that also would mean new runners to the game will have to get enough money to buy all the vehicles needed so having two category's might be the best if you can skip the prep. I've only mess around with the new heist just a bit and i'm not to sure how that works so I'm talking a bit blind here.
Each prep costs at least 100k each, if not more. me and a friend tested and played through all acts and i belive the preps cost him more than he got for the final heist. need to double check that, but not only will it reduce the time it takes to do a run, but it will also take a hefty chunk of change out of your wallet.i might just make it the same catagory just have an option to see if people skiped the preps or not :/ these fucking heists are awfull, thanks rockstar for making shitty crates and mergin them with heists
yeah the AI aim is deadly and don't get me started on Act 2... i don't know how that'll all work so I gotta see for myself or at lease hear out how that works then I can give in a real Vote!
I think having the old categories as they were but adding new ones for Doomsday CM and Doomsday All Heists are the most reasonable. The rules on there now does not make sense as they say "the first setup" needs to be changed so it's clear that it is the one added in Doomsday.
I also think that it would be beneficial to just make a desicion on wether you need to do the prep missions or not, and for CM if you can die during them, since they are done in freeroam which enables a lot of "more than 4 people" strats to make them faster. Not to mention the utter frustration to have CM run die to some orbital cannon griefer that happens to be in the random session you end up in.
I really don't like the fact that Rock$tar made this a semi lootboxable update/speedrun....
Has there been a final ruling if Preps can be "un-timed" or "skipped" (and if said player is unable to buy them can they just do them before hand then start timing on the start of first set-up? I've been wanting to do these heists but knowing how difficult it is to get a solo lobby on PC without constantly without losing time or a teammate (loading) somewhere is near impossible. And don't get me started on doing the preps in a populated free-mode session.
I know for "All Acts" it would be hard to get preps done with out paying for them.
yea or you could do a thing like with gta 5 SP where it has Any% because of the mission skips then any% nms we could have Doomsday all acts and doomsday all acts nms idk i'd just like a final decision to be made so we can start runing these new heists
I support the splitting of doomsday in to any% and any% No Mission Skip because it makes so much more sense than lumping it under one category. The prep missions can be skipped with money or done before the actual run starts - not to mention the preps can be done solo, while rest of the heist is mandatory co-op content.
Deciding on a split would avoid some confusion and headache.

I don't feel like splitting the categories is a good idea considering how small the SR community is for this game, that'd be spreading us even thinner. I'd prefer just a general ruling that preps can be done before the heists, and for preps you cant complete right at the start should either be completed or bought while the run is still going.
If Doomsday running becomes more active i'll consider splitting the categories, but at the time of writing this only 1 person has ever done a run and not even a full one only act 3. For now we'll let players decide on what they want to run, paying for the boxes or not its up to you.
