He stole content and is doing it so badly. Moderator didn't even notice tho smh
Go to the game moderators with your evidence and proof that the runner has cheated. We in the general forums can't do anything about it, and can't tell if your accusations are true or not.
This is something that should be handled privately with the game's community, I think that publicly "exposing" this person is not the right thing to do, especially if this user has not been banned yet. If you are wrong about this, you could end up ruining an innocent person's reputation. Contact the moto x3m mods FIRST.
@jackzfiml you shouldnt test if someone is mod banned, people can get notifications if they are added to a game
@Merl i already did that. Can you explain again how i can go to site moderators? I have never personally requested for a ban lmao
just dm @Starsmilley or @Meta
you can also report the cheater via the support hub https://www.speedrun.com/knowledgebase/supporthub/report-user
don't report the moderator yet, instead message them about the run and ask them to be more thorough when verifying runs. if they continue to not check runs, then you can try to have them removed
I don't know why people are acting as though this were some unproven assertion. He literally didn't even bother to download & reupload the stolen runs himself, just linked to the original run and claimed it as his. His other run is similarly stolen, with the slight additional effort of seeking out an obsolete run to steal instead of the current wr.
Anyway, I reported Nathanfartss in the support hub, since there's no reason to believe that user had any intention of submitting legitimate runs.
I still don't think that publicly exposing them in the site forums was the right way to handle it. I definitely can see that this person stole runs, but it's bad practice to do this kind of stuff in general. Just report them and move on, this thread was completely unnecessary. I don't understand what OP hoped would happen when he made this thread.
@hahhah42 I took care of that. That run didn't red flag me because I didn't check the video uploader (I haven't exactly run into this kind of issue outside of known names), and because they used an obsolete run that was not too suspicious (since it was almost a whole second slower).
@TheCortexCrusher Some mods make mistakes and have outside lives that cause them to rush or make a mistake now and again. The community of that speedgame saying "hey I don't think that's right" is all I (and I'm sure other game mods, too) need, and I (or they) can take action if needed.
It's not like this is a paid job to moderate/administrate game pages either lmao
