Pausing Limit (2 minutes)

Is there anyway a few seconds over 2 minutes would be accepted? I use my elgato to scroll back and see what my medallion rotations are. Sometimes its really hard to see what they are because my elgato just for some reason won't pause on them and i have to keep trying to look at them

I doubt it Jud. This happened to me and my run did not get approved. My only advice for next time is to memorise prior to the run :). Hope you're well.

this is part of the reason there is a pause time limit

Also, pausing for long periods of times makes splicing runs together easier.

Pausing at all makes splicing runs together easier. Alls you need is a few frames

Well I'm not a splicer so looks like ill have to find a better way to look at the medallions, thanks for the responses!

Seems oddly arbitrary since if splicing only requires a few frames then whether its 2 or 20 minutes the window to splice is there. Not to mention splicing from cut scenes.

For medallions maybe keep a cheat sheet handy or some other reference, lots available online or could just write them down on a piece of paper.

I think they're trying to give people a chance to have an emergency restroom break or something while also not allowing the pausing to get out of control. Seems to be less about allowing cheating and more about just allowing people to keep their runs if they have a small emergency during a run. I'm just guessing since I'm not a mod but that's what it seems like to me.

Hi, I'd heard previously that there was a sort of guide that would let you know how many turns would be optimal for the statues starting position. Anybody have a link to that? Or would I have to go about creating it myself? I just don't want to do it in my head and risk overrunning the pause time limit. Learning this would significantly improve my runtimes, I'd appreciate any help on the matter.
