I myself am not a speed runner, but I figured it would be good for a place where fans could post quirks they discovered in breath of the wild.
For my first one, and I do not think I will be lucky enough to find a second. In the desert, with the buried chests that you use magnesis to remove, I accidentally uprooted a chest and stepped onto it at the same time, resulting in link shooting into the air! I figure this is probably a useless trick, but speedrunners may find some ingenious use for it like using it for a paragliding boost when there are no sand seals around.
Technique: Sand chest jump (gonna rename it to magnesis launch to keep it close to the lingo)
Action: uproot a chest with magnesis and step onto it at the last second to get launched into the air
Possible uses: Paraglider boost when no sand seals are nearby
