Is this the only skip that got patched?

Yeah, from what I can see, it was the only one to be patched.

When I get a chance I'm going to look for an Any% skip. However, I believe that they put the barriers high enough so that it isn't possible for Any%.

That was my thought Arctic. Although it sucks for the console runners :,(

It will not be patched. However, there is a way to depatch games on console but its really weird.

For Xbox, you must completely uninstall the game. Then, go into your network settings and click "Go Offline". Then reinstall Doom.

For Playstation, delete/uninstall the game, disconnect from your internet connection (remove Ethernet or disconnect from Wi-Fi), and reinstall the game.

I believe connecting to the internet at any time after doing this will update the game and the process must be restarted again.

That method to unpatch on console only works with disc version afik...

Yeah I forgot about that Tim. There is no way to unpatch a digital copy of a game because you must be connected to the Internet in order to download the game and it automatically installs the patches along with it.

Thanks for the video, this explained why I wasn't able to get the jump like the record did.

Not sure if it's much faster, but once you do the first jump to that crane arm, you can do the micro missile/gauss jump to grab the top of the invisible wall, skipping the small jump to the floodlight.

I tried posting this last night! How do you have the Gause on second stage already though?

Can someone let me know which files I need to remove? I got the game on July 2nd, so I have no idea which files were added on June 30th. Thanks.

There's only 2 you have to remove, gameresources.patch (1,039,585 KB) and gameresources.patch.verify (4 KB). They should be the only patch files anywhere near that size. There's one extra option in the game settings that looks a bit weird, otherwise I haven't run into any other issues with single player.

Awesome, thank you. I just tried it out, the skip worked fine. It's kinda upsetting that they released a patch with patch notes that didn't reflect all the changes they implemented.

OVOswanson, I was in New Game+. If you want to run Any%, you must depatch unfortunately.

@Nvinside What part of UAC was patched because I just did the level with all the skips (excluding the crane launch because I'm bad lol)? I am on the most recent patch as well.

Ok i tried everything to Unpatch my game for Any% run. I did all that is said and everything but every time, my game is only a Black Screen OR it Crashes. It's very frustrating... :c
