From now on I'll post here for all things related to stats, to prevent making too many threads, and to casually post new things. Until I make new versions of the following to put into the thread, here's what I've posted so far:

User Stats thread - Compiled with data from 2016-06-05 • Game Stats thread - Compiled with data from 2016-04-21 • Black hole'd runs - Runs that don't exist on any leaderboard, regardless of obsoletion. Compiled with data sometime around 2016-05-09 • Games with co-op categories - Compiled with data sometime before 2016-05-13 • Runs that have been pending for a long time - Helpful for those looking to replace inactive moderators • Leaderboards with the least/most time with the most players/runsRuns without videos, by ranking - Lists the runs with the highest positions by leaderboard that are missing videos, and in most cases actual proof. Take those runs with a grain of salt. Leaderboards with poorly organized times with/without loads make their positions inaccurate, so some runs are higher/missing as result. HiveMC DeathRun's runs were removed because of how they prove their runs. The Mario Kart series has quite a lot of world records without videos. Portal 1/2 also has this problem, among others. • Shortest Leaderboards - Lists the 1000 shortest full-game leaderboards for people who want to do an easy and quick run.

Note: Google Sheets seems to be somewhat buggy with the temporary filters (what you make when you sort).

Got a new one: Oldest World Records -- Contains all the records on site that are older than 1,000 days (2 years, 9 months).

A quick list of the oldest full game runs (over 4,000 days old/11 years): • Syberia - Any%Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (NES) - Any%Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade Taito - Any%Adventures of Lolo 3 - Any%Dino Crisis - any%The Lone Ranger - Any%Ultimate Doom - Knee Deep in the Dead {UV Speed}

and the ones that are (somewhat) actively trying to be beaten: • Sparkster (SNES) - NormalMirror's Edge - Edge; RunsDonkey Kong Country Returns - Any%Mario Party DS - Boss BashSuper Dodge Ball - Easy

Note: It doesn't take notice of multiple world record holders, so some may not be accurate. The ones I listed above are.

I misread this thread at first and I crunched how long it takes for a run to be approved.

25% of runs get approved within 1 hour 50% of runs get approved within 5 hours 80% of runs get approved within 24 hours 88% of runs get approved within 3 days 92% of runs get approved within 1 week (at this point you should try contacting the mod(s)) 95% of runs get approved within 3 weeks (if at this point you haven't had any response, ask to moderate the game yourself)

This excluded anything approved in under 5 seconds, which were mostly self-approved runs.

I probably won't make a new edition until the bug with how timing is saved is fixed. Currently games with 'time without loads' enabled causes the API to be inaccurate, as I've brought up on Github. I'd like to make something that returns things like previous world records and when a game was most active. I want to figure out how to do that.

Edit: Didn't take long, though I crunched it in Excel instead of Access. I'll post some tidbits for now and will have something better on the next full release. The following uses RunActivityAll, which isn't the same as what the site uses but similar.

The most active games on any given date:

  1. SUPERHOT - 316.60 on 2016-03-07
  2. Diddy Kong Racing - 285.19 on 2016-03-06

I don't know when the API update is rolling out but I plan on updating everything soon.

Given that large updates never tend to go completely smoothly, I decided against rolling it out until AGDQ is over at least.

I'll be making a new thread once I've created the database~~, but in the meantime, Lighnat0r compiled a list of games by 'active players':

Hey there!

Hopefully I am posting in the correct thread, but I am really interested in the Activity stat on an individual game's statistics page, mostly just to see which games are trending at any given time. Is there any possible way we can add an activity filter/sort on the "All Games" page so that anyone can check this out without the need to wait for whoever has access to this to post in this thread, please? I feel like I may have seen a screenshot of that feature being a thing in an older thread last year, but not sure if that was on the site temporarily and then removed or if it was just something tested locally.

Thanks! :)

Me and lighnat0r talked about that a few days ago and managed to make a better formula that can be understood. There's a good chance it'll be included in the next big update.

On another note: I've crawled the site again and have all the data, I'm just fixing my queries before releasing a new sheet, as well as doing some analysis of N64 games.

Oh cool, that's great news! I am quite looking forward to that update then. :)

I remember seeing that 1st spreadsheet and loved digging through that. If you could add other criteria to your new one, such as consoles, year, etc, that would be cool as well, but it's just a random thought. Could be interesting to see what's trending in speedruns on retro consoles like NES, SNES, PS, etc., considering no new games are coming out for them ignoring homebrew.

Thanks, ROMaster2!
