For both race and street runs, do i have to start at derby than get to race or street? Or do i just start the run at the first race or street race

You don't have to do Derby first.

ok, so you just have to get to race or street, than start the run at either. do you have to start out with 0cr first? or how does it work.

edit: also i did not mean to do all the derby races/cups, because in my run i just got the money to get a race car from derby,

Okay, I've got another question and suggestion regarding this. IanAC said "0Cr.", which would mean that you'd have 0Cr after purchasing one of the cars. However, if you purchase a cheaper car than the most expensive one (with the savefile from here), you're gonna have some credits left, just like those 1000Cr on nuu's run.

Technically that'd already make his run invalid, but... what I'd suggest is setting up a rule to start the Race & Street classes with just enough Cr. left to buy the most expensive car of that class: 16k for Race class & 42k for Street Class.

That way, we'll all have the same starting point from now on. :D

i found out that in the resources that there is a save for race speedruns and it starts out with enough cr to buy any of the starter race cars, no street though...

Yeah, that should be no problem to get enough money to do Street runs. :)

Yea I made the savefile because I thought that is the most reasonable way to do it, have enough money to buy the most expensive car. I haven't made the Street savefile yet, so maybe I'll do that today since it's needed :)
