Idea for better splits

Alright, so my idea is instead of splitting when the next screen shows after a section, split when you’ve finished a section (i.e when ruff starts saying “Way to go” after you finished a gain entry). This would make the timing stop when you hit the last target cell on crumpet. (Which would make meestertweester’s WR an 11:48.32) I think this would be better cause for people on laptops (like me), the keyboard is prioritized over the “mouse”, so you have to move it to click a “next” button, which could waste multiple seconds.

Thank you for your suggestion. I think what you are proposing is quite fair, after all there really isn't any standard for when splits start and end. This will be a great step into Ruff Ruffman speedrunning.

Do you want to change timing to end when the Crumpet cell counter reaches 0? I wouldn't really mind that, would that help you?

By the way there doesn't have to be an official way to split. You can always retime afterwards, too. On my runs I just submitted the time on my timer instead of retiming, though.

Glad to know we have another runner!

I think ending timing on either hitting the last target cell or counter reaching 0 would result in the same time. It would help me, and probably people on desktops to save time in between transitions

Hitting cells and the counter decreasing happen on the same frame anyway when I checked
