So i'm thinking of buying a Pi Retro System ( https://www.piretrogaming.com/ ) would i be able to run speed runs on this? As its basically a stand alone EMU system.

You'd have to ask the community for whatever games you're hoping to run, but honestly, that seems like a lot of money for a glorified emulator.

Id say it probably lags more than PC too which would result in runs being slower, rather buy a good PC, you get more use out of that one. Or at least a rasperry pi if you really want a portable emulation system, way cheaper than that thing.

@YoniArousement I was looking at having one for personal use, not just speed running. @blueYOSHI I thought £90 was quite cheap, i do have a good gaming PC rig i'll probably just use that for my speed running then. Just the PI opened up more games for me. Thanks all for the advice.

A Rasperry Pi has support for more platforms, is cheaper and you can do other stuff too (like run Windows on it), overall more worth it id say.

I can confirm that both Raspberry Pi emulators I've played on are near unplayable from a speedrunning standpoint, the lag was too much.
