Is the new game and watch mario system legal for speedruns?

Most likely not, since it doesn't appear in the approved hardware, and below is written: "If you do not see a specific platform on this list, then it is not permitted."

unless a change is made as of right now submissions would be rejected, but maybe in the future the u can be able to play on the game and watch system

Usually Nintendo has different frame rate with newer ports of NES games. With the VC and NES Mini, the framerate is 60 flat, while the original NES version is 60.9 FPS. I believe the Game and Watch is 60 FPS just cause all the other VC ports are that same frame rate

that makes sense to me. I dont see why they would change it to a framerate that they havent used before. Im not confirming this though because i have the same amount of info as everyone else

as far as I know, there isn't any way to get direct capture on the G&W anyway.

@Zbomb yeah, you would have to just record the screen with an iPhone or something which would be hard while doing a speedrun.
