Any pointers? I've gotten it, several times, but I'm nowhere near consistent.

It's not easy if you don't have the speed glitch. You need to ride out your first hover for as long as possible do a spin, and then start your second hover. It takes a bit of practice doing it that way, but I take the 5 second loss to make sure I get the speed glitch to skip a section later in the stage.

What on earth is "the speed glitch" ?

After I hop up behind the Bomb guy, Astro hits a new gear that allows me to make the jump then also constant movement allowed me to keep the boost and get around the island at the end. Super tough to pull all off under the pressure but very possible.

Yeah I've gotten it to the point where it's all on me whether I get it or not. Which is really nice! Thanks though :)
