krisu, I agree that's an issue that needs addressed.

Embedded youtube videos don't work for me, so it would be nice if there was a way to get the link to the video without having to view the page source.

Small thing: because of my timezone, when I submit a run I tend to be a day ahead of most people, and this causes my run to stay at the top of the front page even though more runs are being submitted.

According to the changelog, bans were added today. How exactly do they work? For example, if Trollbear666 posts in a forum I moderate and I want to ban him for spamming emotes, how can I go about doing that?

But @BetaM it says full mods, so Adam, Eidgod and Gyoo can ban people now (aka bots if they come again) or just people that should be banned

Indeed, banning is something that is applies to the entire site, which prevents the user from creating any forum posts, guides etc. This means that it's mainly useful for bots. Banning was in fact already possible, but it was only accessible to admins. The only change made today is that full mods also have access to it, meaning that if there are ever any bots that make it through the signup process, more people can respond to that and hopefully resolve things quicker.

I confirm that the only time I actually wanted to ban someone so far, it was for a spambot.

A while back, when the timing stuff was first implemented, runs on a user's profile that were missing RTA would use IGT ranking, regardless of the ranking used by that game. For example, on dragonfangs' profile, his MZM any% time would show up as 3rd. Now, it shows up as 19th, which is technically more accurate to the leaderboard in question, but misleading as far as the quality of the run goes. I realise this issue is mostly unique to MZM's specific problems with timing, but would it be easy to restore the old functionality?

Feedback thread... cool, i actually have something to ask. It's more about the forum though.

Is there any chance someone could add a "Mark everything as read" feature ? Not that it's a necessity but god, seing all the "news" (very old actually) posts, especially for the game sections, makes everything weird imo.

Especially for the "Other series" section, i never know if it's my game or another.

PS : Yeah, i could click on everything and it would solve that, but there's way too many topics, not gonna waste an hour just for that.

This feature has been requested by several people already, it will be done at some point :)

Would it be okay to just have times without the primary timer listed as "??" place? (I don't know how feasible this is, I'm just looking at alternatives.)

I think having two runs show up as the same placing for the same category for different users is somewhat confusing, although I wouldn't be entirely opposed to going back to the IGT ranking in this case as described if no better solution is available.

United Kingdom

That would be an okay solution - I think it would look better if it just showed as blank rather than "??".

Switzerland

You know what would be a cool feature for game pages? Having an option to "hide misc categories on the main IL table".

Some games have IL tables that force me to scroll horizontally to see all categories (at least on the laptop) and that's something that should be avoided as much as possible. Having the option to hide some categories wouldn't completely solve the problem, but it would at least give people a bit more control over it.

Canada

A review section maybe? It'd give people some insight on why a particular game was chosen as a speed game, etc.

Something else I just found out you can do: your category name can be very long. I did this and a full mod moaned at me ( :P ) so maybe put a character limit on that stuff? If it's something I'm not meant to do, and it makes things look bad.

Is there a way for game mods to edit what is and is not a required field for a submission? If not then this would be very helpful :P

Also, every time I try to edit the settings for http://www.speedrun.com/mario_kart_wii_ctgp , the changes never save.
