.lss files for splits

Could we have the ability to upload .lss or wsplit files to the "splits" section under our games? I noticed that I couldn't do so and would have to upload it as a .zip or .rar , I don't mind doing that but just for ease would this suggestion be possible?

Have you tried splits.io ?

Yeah, there's a splits i/o field when submitting and editing a run. You can go to http://splits.io/ to upload your splits and then just put the ID of the URL in the splits i/o field of your run. The splits will then appear under your run and people will be able to download them. LiveSplit 1.6 will also have a speedrun.com Browser where you can look at the leaderboards of games and download the splits directly (if they are available)

There is ofc the splits i/o field when submitting a run but I think this is about the Resources pages for games. Those pages include a Splits section which currently only accepts zip/rar/7z files.

For a future update, I do agree it would be much better if it would at the very least accept and embed splits i/o links as well. Regarding uploading .lss etc files I was thinking that it could then automatically submit the splits to splits i/o and then embed it like that.

That'll probably have to happen some time after the notification + favourite/follow games update though, so don't expect it to be done like tomorrow :)
