PAYDAY 2 100% filter.

Hi there,

I was just wanting to bring up that I don't see a 100% filter, only any%. With PD2, obtaining all loose loot/gage packages and making sure you obtain every single loot bag available to throw into the van/helicopter would be 100% as an example.

Perhaps this can become a feature? Would love to see some 100% runs seeing all loose loot and gage packages have set spawns on each map with a set number of locations so it's just about remembering the package location(s).

It has been talked about before unfortunately there would be no way to verify all bags were collected since its RNG where they spawn and on some missions how many of them spawn

Interesting, how about just all loot bags? Those have set numbers, for example there's 30 bags in the Golden Grin Casino (31 if you count the painting).

its too small for its own category

The 100% Category, And the contract categories (Hector%, Bain% etc...) will be added when the game developement will be done. (When overkill will stop adding heists, It'll probably be when they'll start working on PAYDAY 3)

Looking forward to it. Currently trying to fix my FPS to record my runs with to make them official.

Having contract categories would be nice too, however that can be added now and filtered by patch # so if a heist is added, it's still valid for that patch if anyone wants to revert back to that patch # which is what speedrunning consists of most of the time, reverting back to an earlier patch that's more suitable for speedrunning/OOB and so forth.

Not to mention, with the patch data and skill tree changes reverting back can make a huge difference between runners. If that's the case, why aren't the pro jobs still listed if you can just revert the patch back to when the pro jobs were available?

Hello there.

A all loot/100%/whatever category has been considered but many maps have a random number of loot bags, like The Diamond for example. That means we can't verify that everything has been secured, unless we break the #1 rule aka game must be vanilla (and even HUD mods aren't reliable, as Overkill sometimes place loot that can randomly spawn out of the map, and this loot only moves to the map if RNG decides it spawns). You brought up Golden Grin and you are totally right. There is a fixed number of bags here (31, I think too), same for many other maps like Slaughterhouse, Art Gallery, Shadow Raid, Meltdown, etc. Finally there are maps like Goat Simulator where any% = 100%. As you can see that's a rather complex question. If we eventually happen to add such a category it would only be a misc category with less strict rules. But don't look forward to it for now. Same thing for Gage Packages, with the difference that this one is perfectly doable, and may be added as a fun category. I like the idea, just afraid that it would be underrun, but then again it would be misc.

Contractor/full game runs, as Master said, will be added at the end of the support. The game is still often updated and a run can quickly become obsolete. A patch filter wouldn't work because this is the kind of runs that only have an interest on long term. We'd end up with a lot of runs, but all on different game versions, no point in doing that for now. Anyway, with or without OOB, if Overkill adds a new map, it's very likely that the new run is going to be longer than the previous one.

On the subject on game versions, this is particularly true for Payday 2: we'd totally need a way to change game version as many glitches or features are only present on some builds of the game. Sadly, there is no official way to do that, only way is having a crack. Now, this isn't a problem per se as everybody here owns the official game (I hope!), however I've only personally managed to find one serious site and they only keep the 5-6 most recent versions. I'd have to contact the hackers to see if they still have backups of very old builds and if they can cooperate with the speedrunning community.

Finally, pro jobs were never listed in first place, as pro jobs do not affect gameplay, only rewards and the no second chance gimmick of course. But since runs have to be single-segment, you can already say they are sort of pro jobs.

I hope it answers most of your concerns. Have a nice week.
