bro the forums isn't a place for this go settle your beef on discord

@JustRetroAndy If you want an actual discussion about this then feel free to join the discord server and talk about it rather than cluttering up the forums here with it. The issue is though it seems like you are completely set in your opinion and no amount of evidence or clear explanation is going to help you, so this seems completely pointless.

Let me just say it like this, one random person isn't going to change the rules of a game just by complaining loud enough, especially with a point as poor as yours, and even more especially when no one here agrees with you, so what are you even really trying to achieve.

@JustRetroAndy please humble me by beating my glitchless pb since cheats arent used in that ill happily call myself invalid once you beat me also that run of yours wasnt even complete and was the only run youve ever tried on this game. mt point was that you have 0 experience on the game yet your dogging my run over 2 minute timesave that i could literally do with my eyes closed

I believe people should be able to give their opinions on something like this but I do not believe there is any room for a pointless back-and-forth argument in the threads. I hate to say this but if drama continues to be instigated then I will be locking the thread. Instead, I think we as a community should decide whether the timing method while the strategy is used should be changed. I.e. starting the timer when the runner opens the menu, starting the timer when the runner hits OK on the menu, starting the time when the runner restarts the save file, or even keeping it the same. I believe we could even settle with adding a NMG subcategory under glitchless with only the menu being banned and not the rest of the glitches as a discussion as long as enough people agree and will actually run the category so it's not just sitting in the dust. But with all being said, you guys have the glitchless category to run and it's literally the very same thing as NG except that the manifest menu is banned along with some other glitches that barely anyone has tried except some of the top runners. I think we should put this argument to close and just agree to disagree there's two separate categories for both parties to enjoy.

My final response to Zer0iced though, "In game cheats are allowed but 3rd party isn't.", third party cheats are pretty much banned in almost every game on the site. You think mod menus where runners just scale their speed up to x10 would make sense? A very redundant rule but I just wanted to make it clear to anyone who thinks it would be a good idea using a software that isn't even associated to Black Ops 3 in order to cheat. And the same can be said with server cheats being enabled and "/developer 2" being allowed. That wouldn't make sense either because runners can just noclip throughout the map and use commands to cheat their speedrun. No, developer mode isn't even possible without turning on mods so obviously that should be an easy ban. Not to mention that it cannot even be done on console whatsoever. Developer mode and the manifest menu are not even close in comparison and manifest menu can be done by anyone, at anytime, at any level (again) and is actually used AFTER the save file reset which makes it valid imo. Like you are practically just resetting your file and pressing the A/X button on letters, and it doesn't even put a lock on in-game achievements or stats. However, I do believe that using the "no hacks / cheats" rule as me referring to the manifest menu as cherrypicking though, I don't believe they are at all related like I said, and I also thought that any runner looking at that rule would understand what exactly the rule is referring to because using mod menus is/should always remain prohibited in runs, even though the rule is redundant. I did change the rule to make it more clear, so I'm hoping that makes you happy, but this is my last response with this subject. I feel like I explained enough and that there probably is no need continue debating whether or not the rule intended the manifest menu. Like I said earlier though, my objective wasn't just get the World Record, I would've stopped far before the manifest menu being discovered. I want to see this game be pushed to its limits because this is a game that I enjoyed for years. So my intentions weren't to make this not fair, that's why I created the glitchless category. I'm hoping you understand, you both are free to run glitchless however times you want.
