hello, I have a problem and I have a solution to it but see if you could accept it, if I have 3 hours of game in run, can I put my video in 20 min slices by adding 10 seconds more to prove that I don't cheat? otherwise I will take more than 10 hours to put it online and it costs expensive electricity at home: and in Stream I can not

Just upload it all in one video.

Edit: Also you have a Twitch channel. Just Highlight your run when you complete it and submit the link to that video. Also if you are concerned about electricity costs maybe you should stop playing video games and try to work.

if 3hrs of footage take 10hrs you're either already paying too much for your internet or shooting for way too high quality.

edit: also don't post the same thread in the global forums a 2nd time after being told to ask in the specific game's forums for what the mods of that game accept or don't...

for work it's not easy when you have difficulties, the only place I have no idea if it's accept or not it will be on Facebook because I'm not worried during the Stream

when I see that some people cheat that it's because of this kind of person who have edited things like me except that I leave second intervals to show that it's the same video to avoid any problems, then some put their Stream in several times on YouTube so that it's not too long and they are accepted!

it will soon take 21 years and be a gamer with a gaming card to be recognized and do our things in front of people

While I understand where you're coming from, there's plenty of folks that have very low tech runs and little access to internet, and still manage to submit full videos. Keep in mind that it doesn't take much. Reduce your video quality as much as you can, film with a cheap digital camera. Go to an internet cafe or some place that offers free wifi.

Some games might accept cut up runs that overlap (like I think you are trying to say), but many won't for top times - you'll have to ask that game's community.

I understand that you have difficulties, but it looks like that in your current situation, willing to do speedrun right now is adding more trouble to it. Is that really reasonable to force it now if you're that much careful about electricity ?

I don't understand the process behind Youtube uploads, but would uploading the video in shorter chunks really be faster than uploading it all at once, especially if you're overlapping the videos and therefore uploading more minutes of footage overall?

it's not, it's just the workaround people used to do when youtube had a video length limit (iirc it was 15mins). Not sure why anyone would do it anymore, especially seeing as you can usually resume uploads by selecting the same file again nowadays.

when I wanted to put a 20 min video it takes me 1h40 to put it online, 2 years ago on YouTube I started a speedrun on Jak 2 outlaw in 2:12:48 on the elapsed time of my game in Any%, when I wanted to put it online, I only had 1 hour

I used my laptop because I had a computer and I could only film an hour each time otherwise I could film everything so I had to stop recording and then make a new video to film the rest, otherwise I can always try to put my speedrun live with OBS Studio but have to see if it is accepting

I also did Ratchet and Clank the first opus and A crack in time everything with my laptop and the only speedrun I could ever finish because I have hours to respect at home is Jak And Daxter the precursor Legacy 100%, at the end of my party I missed 3 orbs in the snowy mountains when I had arrived at the final boss that I couldn't even start it ; I had 3:20:46 at that time and in estimation I could have finished it 20 minutes later: es that speedrun.com will accept speedruns with a laptop? because I have this but also an HDPVR or avermedia

Not everyone has access to good, or even basic internet speeds you know.

Try using a free video encoder package like freemake to render the file into a smaller size, drop it to 30fps if you don't need the full framerate, if the game isn't a very fast moving game you can get away with a low bitrate to make the file smaller. It probably doesn't need to be 1080p or full res either unless you have some amazing first place time, you would want those as legit to watch as possible.
