Hello everyone!
I started speedrunning a couple of weeks ago. I followed the instructions in the video that KZ_FREW made (thank you very much). My game version is 1.01 and everything worked fine just like in KZ's video. But a couple of days ago, my autosplitter stopped splitting the splits/missions. It starts the timer and split, and even restarts it after I select 'New Game' but it doesn't split. I tried nearly everything to fix it. I tried:
-Running as an administrator -Running the game in fullscreen -Giving both game and LiveSplit admin rights -Giving both game and LiveSplit the same rights -Reinstalling both DxWnd and LiveSplit and 'installing' them on another location -Reinstalling GTA:San Andreas and downgrading it to both 1.0 and 1.01 with two different downgraders -Emptying the %temp% folder -Adding the .asl file manually to both layout and edit splits -Different resolution (I usually play on 1280x1024 windowed)
I hope I listed every single of the possibilities that I've tried. I hope somebody can help me. Thanks you advance!
My game also just randomly stopped auto-splitting as of a few hours ago. I tested it this afternoon for my stream, everything was fine, didn't change a thing and now auto-split no longer functions.
I have also tried everything you listed, minus changing my resolution with no results.
^^ absolutely. everything is exactly how it was left when it was working, it worked literally 30 minutes before I went to stream, and then it quit working. The only thing I havn't done is totally restart my PC. Once I do that, I will update here if it works again
Yes, everything is ticked. I tried with "uncheck all" and "check all" as well as restoring to default.
Mine stopped working last night. I thought it was due to my internet being down, but it didn't work even with internet connection.
No I cannot even start timer when in game. Eventhough I checked "Disable in other programms" and ran it as administrator aswell.
My timer will also start when I click through the first cutscene, but after that it will not split automatically. I am still able to manually stop/start, split, and reset.
Sorry for the double post, i just wanted to leave an update:
After a fresh restart of my PC, my livesplit is acting totally normal again. I'm not sure what I did that could have changed it, seeing as that I restarted my PC after re-installing both LiveSplit and GTA SA. I will update if it decides to freak out on me again.
I think that was the case @illuminati7777. After my windows updated, not only that my splits started working normally, but also did my Cesar Vialpando fix, the arrows are smooth now. Thanks everyone for the help.
this is one of the video its autosplit from the new game but doesn't autosplit when I finish Big Smoke
@D4n1elit0_xD happens to me sometimes too... I just find that deactivating then reactivating the auto-splitter fixes things.
Happend with me every new game. From gta3 to gta sa to mafia. Rebooting PC helped me
The GTA:SA community has been deteriorating over a long period of time. Many top runners are not currently present on the leaderboard. This issue has not been seriously addressed yet, but an attempt will be made to remedy it now.
