I'm planning on doing an any% Pokemon Leaf Green speedrun. I'm going to use a DS Lite to play the game does anybody know how to record footage of a DS?
You need to either point a camera at the DS as you play or spend a few hundred dollars to get your DS modded to have a capture board so you can capture like any other console.
There is a DS emulator. I was using it to play a game awhile back and while I did have a couple graphical issues it was nothing that impacted the gameplay. Talk to your specific game's mods.
Few things I used in the past:
- Took the Kid Icarus stand, taped my DS in it.
- Made a LEGO holder for my mobile phone with a little gap in it for the camera.
- Record footage!
Right now I bought a Capture Card for my DS after all those years with LEGO. Like @Timmiluvs mentioned, those can be expensive. You can buy one from Loopy for around 60 euro, this is the cheapest but then you have to install it yourself and have a Phat DS...This is the cheapest option for a good capture device.
