An All Island category where the objective is to get all 5 shines from each island. This would start on a new save file and end when the final shine is obtained. I don't know how good of a category this would be but I really like the sounds of it
This is a pretty cool category, as it reminds me of SMS 79 (I think) Shines. This would need to be re named, but this is pretty cool.
I actually got the idea from that category and yea the name was the first thing I could think of that fitted
I have ideas for rules: -Collect all Cat Shines from all 12 Islands. -Timer starts when the screen fades to black after selecting „New Game“ or „Erase File“ and ends when you got the last Cat Shine from all islands. -Collecting Cat Shines from „Lake Lapcat“ and „Lucky Isle“ is allowed. -Map warping after Any% throughout the run is allowed. -Bowser Jr. can be set to any level. -One player mode only. -Use of Amiibo is not allowed.
These are really good rules except I don't think that getting other random shines should be allowed, I think it should just be the shines from the islands

Banning non-mandatory shines is a bad take. The timer stops when you get the island shines, so there is no harm at all.
I like the idea of this thing as a category extension, but you should honestly check if you like it yourself :P
Yeah thats a fair point and now that you've said that I'm thinking about it, it would definitely cause a few problems
