Yes, we are aware the game is out. It is also incredibly packed with a huge amount of content, and even 48 hours in most of us are still working to even fully complete it.

We need a few days to figure out how things are gonna work, what categories will exist, etc. That’s why there’s an embargo with an expected lifting on the 8th. Could be sooner, depending on how things go.

Please be patient.

I'm hoping for at least some intermediate category e.g. All 228+4 Gems (not N.Verted), to fill the void between Any% and 100%. The game is fantastic and has good potential to generate a thriving speedrunning community.

A category of that sort will almost definitely be made. It's been brought up as an idea a lot and basically everyone is onboard with it existing. :)

I think that can just be called All Gems. The game never refers to the N. Verted gems as just "gems", and you'll need the colored gems to get the regular gems anyway. That's the category that feels most immediately appealing to me, too! Exciting stuff.

The name we're going for is probably "All Normal Gems". Rolls off the tongue well enough and stops people from being smartasses by saying, "Well TECHNICALLY the N. Verted Gems are Gems too."

All Clear Gems was also an option, since I think the game actually does distinguish Clear and N. Verted as two separate types of Gems, but again, I'm sure some smartass would have been like, "Well TECHNICALLY the N. Verted Gems are clear LUL".

You have a point. I'm all about game-defined terms though. The game distinguishes them in a way that we shouldn't try to interpret further. The King of Bling achievement unlocks when you "Earn ALL of the Clear Gems". It wouldn't be the moderators' fault if somebody misinterpreted what a clear gem is. The same argument can be made against normal, because an nverted gem is just a normal gem flipped upside down (as opposed to a color gem for example). Clear gem we can at least back up with game definitions.

That's fair. I'll talk to the other mods about it, but I can definitely see us going with the name "All Clear Gems" instead.
