Well, there are some problems with this. Firstly, it would require some effort to determine a clear start- and endpoint to the run, which might not be worth the effort as there aren't that many people interested in speedrunning this game atm. Secondly, also related to the popularity of steep speedrunning, there isn't much point in adding this kind of categories, since it will just clutter the leaderboard page without much activity. At this point we just prefer to keep the page restricted to 'bigger' main categories. Feel free to leave more suggestions though!
I mean, it's not impossible, I do agree that the game is not very active at the moment but I think it would be fun anyway, start would be any point along the top of MONT BLANC and the end would be when you reach the boundary and get kicked out of the game into mountain view, like so:
