Accused of playing on ISO

So this run has been rejected cause their accusing me of playing on an iso, something about my time being so good, if theres any way of proving i did this on a wii u please tell me

Alright, youre not using ISO, but how are you loading the game on your Wii U? Straight up through the Wii Menu?

What exactly do u mean straight up through the wii menu? I simply put the mario kart wii disc in the wii u and booted it from the wii u wii menu

Using the timer on your video, I wrote down the timestamps for the loading of Luigi Circuit based on the timing method I used in my video. ()

OK box first frame left: 0.545s Cinematic fadein first frame: 5.315s Total load time: 4.770s My tested Wii U disc load time: 5.533

Cinematic end fadeout first frame: 6.206s Post-cinematic fadein first frame: 8.734s Total load time: 2.528s My tested Wii U disc load time: 3.017s

That is pretty significantly faster. Your load times are slower than my tested ISO loading method (USB 3.0 HDD), but Wii game loading methods are quite varied in speed depending on medium (SD/HDD/Flash Drive) and the read speed of that device. I'm not going to make a hard judgement here without more testing on the Wii U load times for the sake of consistency. Just posting the data I've gathered. Maybe there's an inconsistency between Wii U's or maybe loading Luigi Circuit once before starting the run reduces load times. My times were all recorded from a clean boot of the game.

I get ur point, im now just wondering if my run will get accepted, or do u need some sort of prove

Also looking at the end times of each race: TheUpsideDownGamer 1:21.692 1:30.752 2:01.297 2:15.949

Total: 7:09.690 Run time: 7:31

Then I looked at the end times of each race in PatrickPower2013's 8:26 run () 1:21.932 1:30.308 1:51.537 2:08.779

Total: 6:52.556 Run time: 8:26

From this data it looks like you saved 1:13 over Patrick purely between races. A little fishy right? I also thought I'd compare the race timer vs the on screen timer to check one more thing.

Your Luigi's Circuit race took 1:21.932 in-game time. You started at 0:14.683 looking at the timecode. You ended at 1:25.085 looking at the timecode

That means your race took 1:10.402 real-time, 1:21.932 in-game time. Nice job speeding up your gameplay video 115%, dude.

The good news is that when you ignore that you cheated your recording and multiply the times by 1.164 (the exact factor for the times to match), your load times match up perfectly with my tested Wii U load times. So congrats, we can confirm that you were playing on Wii U with a disc and in fact not playing on an ISO.

Congrats on your 8:45 run and 10th place on the leaderboard!

Lol yepers & I never speeded up the video, i still have the raw recording of the race, i can upload it over night and u can take a look, it just sucks when i honestly didn't tamper with the footage or game at all. It would have been my recording software or how the video rendered that made the times all messed up?

Madison, WI, USA

So you're saying that despite having worse race times than a run would get 6th place, your in-game timer being 116% faster than real time, and your load times indicating you indeed sped up the footage 116%, your run is still legit and you deserve 1st place on the leaderboard.

You sure are a talented gamer.

British Columbia, Canada

My ass is burnt after reading that one, ill just send u the raw footage tomorrow. Im trying to be as nice as possible here dude, i just dont wanna be that guy accused of something he never did

British Columbia, Canada

Well this will be the video of the raw footage, just take a pissing look when its done uploading

British Columbia, Canada

Can you also easily explain to me why this isn't being accepted, all i got is that i tampered with the footage

Madison, WI, USA

TL;DR: Your gameplay sucked and your time was fast. Suspicion ensues.

British Columbia, Canada

It was probably pissing sony vegas es timer that was incorrect and gave me that time

Alaska, USA

Are you claiming your recording software changed the gameplay footage for you?

British Columbia, Canada

No, sony vegas has different timecode formats: Time, Seconds, Time & Frames, Absolute Frames, 40fps, 16fps, 23.976fps, 24fps, 25fps, 29.97fps, and 30fps, mario karts in game timer and sony vegas most likely didnt match

Madison, WI, USA

Oh I figured it out. The timecode display you used is sped up 116%. You can just look at the YouTube timecode and see that your run is in fact about 8:45 like I said above. Still, congrats on your 10th place run.

British Columbia, Canada

Ya i just confirmed that aswell, im very pissed about that one but whatever thanks for the congrats (even tho i wont be putting this on speedrun.com)

Alaska, USA

You are I are very much the same, we live in very similar latitudes, you know. You can be frank with me, be honest with your daddy please, inform me. Tell me the truth.

Alaska, USA

You did try to pass it off as the world record right?
