Hey everyone, just looking for advice on how to hit the NISC at the end of the lap on Dry Dry Desert. I've watched a lot of WR vids, and so I get that you want to get an SMT, but I don't know if / when / how I'm supposed to hop. Some vids it looks like they only hop once, some vids it looks like they hop multiple times, but no matter what I do, it seems like 95% of the time I end up running out of SMT WAY before I get back on the track. In the best method of doing it, you shouldn’t need to hop at all—if you go quite far right, close to the rock, you should bump in such a way that you never touch the off-road for more than a frame, and you should make it out as your SMT runs out. You can also just spam R to try and hop through it, which helps some people (including me) when they’re first learning the line and how to get the SMT, but that’s not fast or consistent, and I’d recommend learning the better way if you can. With all that said, it is definitely a very difficult nisc to be consistent on. Even if the off-road slows you down, it’s still faster to cut through it, so definitely go for it.
