I've been recording HDMI consoles good so far, but I'm doing runs of Animal Crossing and I can't record my GameCube or Wii. My capture card is a "hauppauge hd pvr 2" if it helps.

If you're playing on your wii, there's hdmi adapters for the output of the wii.

Although I didn't think anyone still buys the Hauppauge stuff, they're vastly inferior to the competition for the price they are at.
