So essentially these TASs are like the “sum of best segments” speedrunners use for total game times. The Wii U controller is very touchy. I tried doing my own and just wasn’t accustomed to the difference; I wonder if an emulator would outperform in a save-state TAS run. I suspect it may in some races.

I thought you could hook up certain controllers to emulators.

Gl on deadly fall. Thanks again for this

That’s cool in a way - it shows how far this course has been pushed!

are you using the no z after pressing jump going into the alcove? that should make the alcove entrance smoother. Thanks again for doing all this hard work

Good work sonata.

I have a question about Crystal Lake. Did you try the lomas jump in the valley instead of the carve? And did you test jumping the bump near the rocks after the shortcut?

can you try to get the 30 on CL using match race? I want to see if it saves enough time

How is deadly fall sub 70 possible on match race? Dont you start on too far right in MR on the course? Obviously I trust you and believe it. I'm just curious on how

Excited to see new strats on other courses too

Dude thanks so much. Very excited to see it

When you video the runs can you turn the lights off in the room? It stops the reflection on the screen and its a lot easier to see the run. The golden forest video is really clear. Thanks again man.

Anything that breaks through the next minute barrier, such as CP 1’25”99, is/would be exciting.

sonata just breaking barriers with these HTAS's

good luck, the 27 will be wild

Maybe bert or mattador could critique the perfect 30 run to see what can be improved for the 27

Have you tried:

  • experimenting with jump cancels on the powdery plateau? or
  • trying a frame boost per arctic fox (personally I don’t believe it works)?

What an insane looking run. Very nice.
