Requested game taking longer than I was told

So I requested a game be added to speedrun.com so I can do some runs of the game. It's a game that was released a few weeks ago and I requested the 15th of last month, and I haven't heard back from anyone for almost 3 weeks when the expected wait period was 1-2 weeks. Is there any way to know for sure if my request has been read and either confirmed or denied? I've checked my notifications and emails daily since I requested the game and nothing. Let me know, thanks!

In regular times the requests queue can take up to 1-2 weeks, but those are not regular times. In the last months there is a surge in new runner on the site, and so also a spike in game requests, so they can take longer - Just be patient. Note that in the meantime, nothing prevents you from running the game just because it's not on the site.

You'd think people would've noticed all the threads being made about this.

There's also a thing called C19 going around which has more people at home, not sure if you'd heard about this or not.

in short: normally we like to keep 1-2 weeks. This entire year basically has not been normal, so indeed, it will be longer.

I know yeasterday some games was accepted in a few hours, but my first request has not been accepted for 24 days. Is there any difference in the choice of games or was Magic Jewelry just forgotten? It's not urgent for me, just asked out of curiosity. Already 4 runners have done their runs for this game and they are worried. :)

Requests do not get "forgotten". If it's in the queue we'll get to it when we get to it. Keep waiting.

Different requests take different amounts of time to handle for various reasons.

It seems like staff are currently busy with game requests from July, not even August. It is pretty clear queue is very crowded
