Hi, I'm considering running this game and only have PC available at the moment. I did, however, install it from the Microsoft store and I'm playing with my 360 controller as I had bought it on Xbox One, so technically playing the console version, so should I consider any runs I do as Xbox One or PC? Or is this not allowed entirely? Thanks in advance and sorry if this has already been asked

If you're running the game on PC and playing with a controller, you are still running the game on PC.

First, welcome to the community! Be sure to connect to the discord if you haven't already as most of this communities discussion happens there and many video and text guides get pinned in the various channels as well.

As for your specific question, the Microsoft Store version of the game is not a console version of the game, and the use of a controller on PC is a preference. If you are playing on a PC, you need to submit it to PC. Even lower end PC's have loading advantages over current gen consoles because of settings that exist in the PC versions of the game.

With that, since you already have purchased the game on the Microsoft Store, I figure I'll let you know that the Microsoft Store version of RE7 is the "preferred" version on PC because you can get the Japanese censored Cero D version which has different animations and saves about 25 seconds over the non-censored version of the game. You can do that using a trick with the Microsoft Store to change you region. You can find a "how-to" video for getting that here: I'll note that sometimes you need to leave your region changed for anywhere between a couple hours and 2 days before the MS servers "realize" that you have changed your region.

If you have any other question you can reply here or on the discord! Good luck on your runs and "Welcome to the family, son!"

Thanks for the info!
