I was curious to know what timer works best if I'm playing NES/SNES on a 55' Samsung 4k. Are most games played on a typical desktop? Sorry for the stupidity.
Generally, what are you seeing is basically the video output of the console being sent to a computer to be streamed and recorded via a capture card, and generally there is a video splitter in the mix that sends the signal to a TV as well. The timer is being added on as a layer over the stream going through the computer, and the splits are being controlled on a keyboard.
Welcome aboard Brooke, good luck on your runs!
Like Nihilist said generally its set up like. . . . SNES/NES to capture card, capture card to split cable, one split to TV one split to PC, Timer on the PC with a program like OBS running to record/ live stream.
Appreciate the feedback Nihilist, Toddman - pretty sure that ill be able to figure it out. Thanks
