Hey I have a question,
is there a time difference based on which Playstation platform you use to run this game? I ask because I saw some of you played on the PS2...does this influence anything? Like loading times e.g.? The wr looked like it had shorter loading times..but maybe it's just me mistaking something.

PS2 has something called "Fast Disc Speed" which speeds up the loads of PS1 games. The current world record is done on PSTV which has even faster loads than PS2. Currently, PSTV is the fastest way to play the game and PS2 is the second fastest.
Yeah I got bopped because of hardware, no questions asked. Not much we can do unless somebody wants to convert these to loadless.

PSTV is about 20-25 seconds faster than PS2. PS2 is about 30-35 seconds faster than PS. Therefore, PSTV is about 50-60 seconds faster than PS.
Using the best ¤official¤ hardware possible has always been a thing in speedrunning, that's not a problemI a all. But it doesn't help that consoles are set as categories. Why is that btw? Any%, 100% and All FLIK Tokens shoul be categories, not subcategories, and you already got variables to filter out different hardware. So unless there's actual route differences, you don't need them as subcategories even.
