Setting up Autosplit

I want to add something in here. We have separate boards for console runs and for runs on PC so there is no argument to be made about console having a larger size as we have separate boards for these versions and as DECosmic said GFWL coop is impossible to run as GFWL services no longer exist.

The fan patch was made to change a few things in the game that some people wanted and to also fix issues with the game being unable to boot properly which I had issues with until me and a few people fixed my game which now runs perfectly fine without GFWL or the fan patch.

Having runners submit runs using the patch and runners not using the patch can lead to a lot of arguments and a bit of controversy within the community.

We could maybe have sub categories for no fan patch and fan patch but this can also lead to invalid runs being submitted either side. Personally I'm okay for people to use the fan patch for casual play but when it comes down to speedruns they should be ran on the base game without the patch installed.

I personally think that as long as the single player commands were removed it would be fine to use on a mixed board with a patch/no patch variable. Coz AFAIK I hadn't see anything other than that that was changed drastically. The only other notable things were AI fixes and pathing fixes. AFAIK Ndesu and the doors also work on the patch version, I never said they changed I just said they were different to the console version which was for the better. The main issue is again the co-op commands being in single player. And since the creators of the patch don't seem to want to talk to us it'll probably never be fixed.

Thank for all the assistance, downloaded GFWL and managed to get everything working fine. The only thing that isn't working properly is I've noticed that the autosplitter doesn't pause during inventory management during tactical resets which is a little problematic. I can slightly solve the problem by just pausing the timer, but me and my friend are wanting to track our times on both ends for consistency reasons and this might cause there to be some discrepancy in times doing it that way

What are you comparing against in livesplit because it sounds like you are comparing against real time instead of in game time?

England

I'm comparing it against in game time. It's pausing during loading screens, but any inventory management as well as the results screens in between chapters aren't pausing at all

Make sure you have the "NG+" box ticked on the autosplitter and not the "NG" or "Individual Levels" boxes.

That seemed to do the trick, we just got a full run in with no new issues arising that we couldn't figure out, thanks everyone for the assistance
