arrempts that were recorded sepretly, edited to one to make a better run

does segmenting a run but not retrying segments count?

Pays de la Loire, France

If you don't retry segments it'd be called Time Attack (TA for short), which was the standard a while ago. Nowadays, in order to be on the leaderboard, a run must be done in one segment without pausing the timer.

yes i had watched a video about any% world record progression by averagetrey and heard about TA but i didnt know if it was nowadays counted as a spliced run

United States

"spliced" is a colloquial term that usually implies the runner was dishonest and attempted to pass off a segmented run as non-segmented. so, whether or not it's considered spliced would depend on context.
