Kinda shooting high for a 1:36 but it did go from 1:38 to 1:37 pretty quickly so I wouldn’t be surprised

why not a 50/100 dollar bounty for new WR first, but ok... and how @JTown2909 already said: not impossible also in near future anyways... :)

i'm very interested in if this changes (= increases) run completion frequency by some players or streaming/trying at all!

I don't foresee this having any real impact on run completion frequency, at least not where it matters. Very, very few people are even capable of getting a 1:36 in less than a years time, and the ones that are capable almost certainly don't care about the money at all, they just want WR.

I think that's underrating how long it can take for 1:36 to happen (and how difficult it is). Currently the best 120 players (like Liam or Cheese) are struggling to improve their PB in the first place. They are clearly capable of getting better times, but 120 can take a lot of time to get a new PB despite being very capable of it, and 1:36 would require a really good run overall that's pretty unlikely to happen in less than 10 months from now.

I also think $1,000 is very low for how big of an accomplishment 1:36 is and the crazy amount of skill and dedication it takes, but I won't get more into that.

I think they’re capable. There’s a new carpet less route being talked about.

that is probably incredible unviable because not only do you have to do SBLJ to get to it (already a major reset point) assuming you get carpetless (8 whole minutes into the run I may add) it optimally only saves 17 seconds. One can dream, though.

maybe this 1:36:xx will happen sooner than anyone thought.
