In regards to the below post just in case anyone decides to give it a go, the PS3 digital version of UC1 is actually available on the PSN store.

So the post below should be disregarded as far as its availbility goes.

Hi Jama, nope its in relation to the PS3 version, there was a forum post which looks like it has been deleted that stated the PS3 EU/UK version of UC1 was not available digitally as that's the preferred version of the game competitvely.

Also my original post in this thread does actually say PS3 version as well :P

So yeah, just stating that it is in fact available as I was able to purchase it when I bought a PS3 again about a week ago.
