Frame rates?

As a moderator here, I have had to implement several new categories due to console/handheld differences. The video seen here is an example of just how much of a difference this makes over longer periods of time. I feel this issue should be addressed more concerning speed running. Many mods here are inactive and lazy! Every second matters!

Anyone else feel me here?

different categories for different platforms, versions and framerates are an absolute must. as is testing and researching how those things affect the run

ive been setting up a new game today (LotR:FotR) which had to differentiate between 30,60,and unlimited fps categories + the different platforms. simply because movement uncapped is about 70% faster then capped. in some other games even a simple action such as disabling/enabling a certain graphical feature (usually vsync... even if the framrate does not seem to actually change) can massively influence the run.

heck ive spent the last month playing through and testing every single version of soul reaver 1 that was ever released... including prerelease betas. just to analyze the effects of the framerate in the different versions (which also all run at a different internal rate independent from the visuals).

I have made that video/comparison and Super Gameboy 2 and Gameboy Player are totally fine to be summed up in one leaderboard as they differ only with frames. Super Gameboy 1 is also fine after conversion (https://kb.speeddemosarchive.com/Super_Game_Boy_timing). I am actually more concerned about your FFL2 leaderboard as you are allowing Visualboy Advance even though I already told you twice that it is a very very bad GB/GBC emulator and should be banned for every GB/GBC leaderboard (you can read more about VBA here: http://www.speedrun.com/Speedrunning/thread/4sdl9 ).
